The Challenge
Transition from a managing agent that had been in place for over 30 years

Our Role
Structured handover and operational stabilisation

Outcome
Improved communication, faster response, and stronger day-to-day management

The Challenge

Eyre Court is a large and well-known mansion block in the heart of St John’s Wood. With 127 apartments, full-time porterage, forecourt parking and award-winning gardens, the building is both complex to operate and home to a discerning community of residents.

For more than three decades, Eyre Court Residents Ltd had worked with the same managing agent. When the board decided it was time for a change, it was a significant and carefully considered decision.

Following a detailed selection process involving several managing agents, Trust Premier Properties was unanimously appointed to take over the management of the building.

“Changing managing agents after 30 years was a monumental decision for our building, but appointing Trust Premier Properties proved to be exactly the fresh approach we needed.”

The Transition

Taking over the management of a large building after such a long period inevitably involves a complex handover of operational, financial and maintenance responsibilities.

From the outset, the focus was on ensuring continuity while quickly establishing full oversight of the building’s operations.

According to the board, Michael Yun quickly familiarised himself with the complexities of the building and established control in a highly professional manner, allowing the transition to proceed smoothly.

“Michael Yun quickly got to grips with the complexities of our large mansion block and handled the transition in an extremely professional manner.”

While minor issues arose during the handover—as is common with any transition—they were addressed quickly and efficiently.

The Improvements

Once the transition was complete, attention turned to strengthening the day-to-day management of the building.

The board highlighted several qualities that quickly became apparent in the new approach:

  • A proactive attitude towards managing the block
  • Clear and professional communication with residents and directors
  • Rapid responses to queries and issues
  • A practical, solutions-focused style of management

Communication and responsiveness were areas where the board saw immediate improvement.

“His communication is exemplary. Whether responding to a complaint or giving advice, he replies succinctly, informatively and courteously.”

“It’s a breath of fresh air to have emails and telephone calls responded to almost immediately.”

The Result

Today, the board works closely with Trust Premier Properties in managing the building and maintaining the standards expected by residents.

The directors describe the relationship as both professional and collaborative, allowing the building to operate smoothly while ensuring concerns are addressed quickly and effectively.

“Michael has already proven to be a great asset to our building.”

Looking ahead, the board believes the decision to change managing agent will continue to benefit the building.

“We are confident the decision to appoint Trust Premier Properties will continue to benefit Eyre Court for many years to come.”
